At 4:30 a.m. yesterday, the first drift-net boats, after three months of fishing moratorium, hugged the Tongwamen Pier in Shipu, Xiangshan with the first big haul newly caught from the East China Sea. Whenever a boat docked, vendors and casual buyers waiting on the pier would rush to scramble for the fresh seafood like pike crab, live skin shrimp and small plum fish. |
