The Korean Embassy hall is an important cultural relic of the Maritime Silk Road in Ningbo. The former site is located near the Baokui Lane on the east bank of the Moon Lake of Haishu District, and it is a historical witness of the foreign exchanges via Ningbo Port and the friendly exchanges between China and Korea in the past. In the seventh year of the Xining reign of the Northern Song Dynasty (1074), Ningbo began to receive Korean envoys, and in the seventh year of the Zhenghe reign (1117), the Korean Embassy was built. |
