Ningbo International Fashion Festival（ October ）

Ningbo is the birthplace of clothing in China, and it is well-known for its “Hongbang School of Tailoring”. As early as 7,000 years ago in the Hemudu Culture, people began to make clothes out of plant fabrics. China’s first Chinese tunic suit, western suit, western suit shop, book on theories of western suits and the first technicians’ school of western dresses are all out of the hands of the “Hongbang School Tailors”. With its years' efforts, Ningbo has become a strong city for the clothes industry in China, whose production of clothes covers 12% of the total in China. Firs, Youngor, Romon are representative famous clothes companies of Ningbo. Ningbo International Fashion Festival opens in October every year. It is at present Ningbo’s largest, and best international festival that integrates trade, tourism and international exchanges. Activities during the festival include: large evening party, sports, Ningbo International Fashion Expo, forums on clothes, exhibition of achievements of Ningbo foreign trade, business talks, touring in Ningbo and so on.
