400 yuan for residence permit under one year, 800 yuan for residence permit for one year or more, 1,000 yuan for residence permit for 1 to 3 years.

Documents to submit  

a.Valid international travel certificate;
b.Certificate of temporary residence by the police department or a hotel;
c.Two recently taken two-inch color photos;
d.Application Form of Foreigners for Visa and Residence;
e.Identification card of the Chinese citizen, or the permanent residence certificate or certificate of living in the residence for more than six months, or the permanent residence permit of a foreigner and certificate of living in China for more than six months;
f. certified certificate of kinship relationship, certificate of the applicant’s no immediate relative abroad, certified certificate of the applicant’s financial status or the financial guarantee of the Chinese relative of the applicant; certified certificate for house renting or a house property right certificate of the applicant or the relative of the applicant;  marriage certificate for a foreign spouse.
