Applicant

Spouse of a Chinese citizen or of a foreign citizen who has permanent residence permit in China, a foreign parent and foreign children under 18 years of age.

400 yuan for residence permit under one year, 800 yuan for residence permit for one year or more, 1,000 yuan for residence permit for 1 to 3 years.

Documents to submit

a.Valid international travel certificate;
b.Certificate of temporary residence by the police department or a hotel;
c.Two recently taken two-inch color photos;
d.Application Form of Foreigners for Visa and Residence;
e.The relative’s identification card and domicile certificate in case the relative to be visited is a citizen of Mainland China;  the relative’s Chinese passport and residence certificate in a foreign country in case that the relative to be visited is an overseas Chinese; the relative's Travel Permit for Residents of Hong Kong and Macao to Chinese Mainland in case the relative is a citizen of Hong Kong or Macao; the relative's Entry Permit of Taiwan Residents to the Mainland or the Travel Permit of the PRC in case that the relative is a citizen of Taiwan; the relative's Certificate for Permanent Residence of a Foreign Citizen in case the relative is a foreign citizen;
f.Other documents to submit: Marriage Certificate in case the relative's spouse is a foreign citizen; document that certifies the parent-child relation when the applicant is parent of the child to be visited; document that certifies the parent-child relation when the applicant is child of the parent to be visited;
g.Certificate of residence for more than six months in Chinese Mainland of the relative to be visited.
