Applicant

A foreign child under 18 years of age to be fostered in Mainland China by parents of overseas Chinese or Chinese citizens living abroad.

400 yuan for residence permit under one year, 800 yuan for residence permit for one year or more, 1,000 yuan for residence permit for 1 to 3 years.

Documents to submit

a. Valid international travel certificate;
b. Certificate of temporary residence by the police department or a hotel;
c. Two recently taken two-inch color photos;
d. Application Form of Foreigners for Visa and Residence;
e. Birth Certificate of the applicant, copies of the visa of the foreign parents, or copies of certificate of living abroad and passport of China when the parents or a parent is Chinese;
f. Certified engagement letter by the parents of the applicant;
g. The identification card of the guardian, or the permanent residence certificate or certificate of living in the residence for more than six months, certified written warranty.
