In Search of Shade of Blue: A Fine Exhibition of Metal-Body Cloisonné Ware

This exhibition showcases 83 exquisite cloisonné pieces from the collection of the Yantai Museum, spanning the Ming and Qing dynasties to the modern era. It systematically presents two major categories: "Cloisonné Enamel" and "Painted Enamel." Cloisonné enamel features gold wire outlines and enamel filling, with works from the Ming Dynasty’s Jingtai period (1450–1456) particularly renowned for their vibrant colors and striking contrasts. Painted enamel, introduced during the Qing Dynasty’s Kangxi era (1661–1722), is known for its delicate paintings and reached its zenith of craftsmanship and intricate patterns during the Qianlong period (1735–1796). Through these two veins, the exhibition clearly traces the evolution of cloisonné techniques, allowing visitors to experience the unique charm of cloisonné art across different eras.

Tianyi Pavilion Ancient Books Series Special Exhibition: Collected Works of the Ming Dynasty

The "Tianyi Pavilion • Opening Scrolls" series is a precious ancient books exhibition brand created by the Tianyi Pavilion Museum. This installment focuses on the manuscript of “Collected Works of the Ming Dynasty”, a comprehensive work comprising 207 volumes, of which 188 survive. It features a rigorous structure and encompasses a wide range of subjects, reflecting Huang Zongxi’s profound intention to "preserve history through literature." From the political changes of the imperial court to the joys and sorrows of ordinary individuals, everything is recorded in this compilation, making it a vivid "core history" of the Ming Dynasty.
