The 2026 Florence International Crafts Fair opened its doors on April 25, and Ningbo’s rich cultural heritage was front and center. Jiang Hongsheng, director of Red Peony Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, attended the prestigious event serving as a cultural ambassador for Zhenhai District’s “Hi Craft” heritage exhibition.

Showcasing the vibrant artistry of his hometown, Jiang brought over a dozen traditional crafts and creative products from Zhenhai to the European stage. The exquisite collection—featuring vibrant Xiepu folk paintings, DIY bamboo-woven wind chimes, traditional round fans, and vintage-style clasp purses—quickly became a standout attraction at the venue, captivating visitors with its authentic Eastern charm.
