The milestone was achieved with the pouring of the final cubic meter of concrete for pier No. 119 of the Central Sea Approach Bridge, marking the successful construction of all 656 piers. The project will now advance to the construction of its upper structure, including girder erection. The Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge represents the most critical, challenging, and high-risk control project within the High-Speed Railway. Spanning an impressive 29.2 kilometers, this engineering marvel is designed for high-speed trains operating at 350 kilometers per hour, featuring a double-track ballastless system. Its northern end begins in Wuyuan Street, Haiyan County, Jiaxing, extending south to Andong Town, Cixi City, Ningbo. Traversing a world-class strong tidal bay, it stands as the largest and highest-standard high-speed railway cross-sea bridge currently under construction globally. |
