Recently, while the sun blazes outdoors, the Ice and Snow Park at the Cixi Convention and Exhibition Center presents a scene of icy tranquility. People bundle up in thick winter coats and snow boots, gleefully frolicking in the swirling snowflakes.

During the intense summer heat, "off-season snow play" has become a new favorite for citizens and tourists seeking relief from the heat and a leisurely way to spend the summer, thereby boosting consumption in winter sports and tourism leisure.

"To meet the public's demand for summer retreats, this year we launched a 'Winter Olympics Light'-themed Ice and Snow Carnival for the summer, creating a 2,000-square-meter ice sculpture art hall and a snow play pavilion. We also set up a Winter Olympics cultural corridor, allowing children to learn about the history of the Winter Olympics while having fun," said Wu Huafeng, the relevant person in charge of the Cixi Convention and Exhibition Center.

It is reported that since opening on June 25, the Ice and Snow Park has received about 10,000 visitors, with families with children accounting for over 90% of the total.

As one of Ningbo's popular ice and snow parks, the Beilun Meishan Bay Ice and Snow World is also drawing large crowds. With lifelike ice sculptures, exciting spinning ice slides, and a romantic and photogenic Nordic snow town, the rich ice-snow experiences and comprehensive supporting facilities have attracted waves of tourists.

In Ningbo, many scenic spots regularly open their ice and snow venues during the summer. The Ice and Snow World at Xiangshan Film and Television City offers fun bumper cars on ice, dreamy ice sculptures, artificial snowfall, and more, where children can freely skate, build snowmen, and have snowball fights, enjoying the joy of playing in the snow during summer.

Ningbo Daren Village Scenic Area has also launched a "One-Day Ice and Snow Carnival Camp" study tour. In the Ice Magic Lab, children can uncover the "black technology" of making snow from liquid nitrogen and turning water into ice instantly. They can also step into the ice kingdom to experience attractions like the long ice slide and the spinning snow carousel.
