These days, on a ship base in Hepu Town of Xiangshan County, the “Yong Li” Ship, the first Antarctic krill fishing and processing ship of Zhejiang Province, has been intensively carrying out the commissioning of its shrimp powder processing line, making final preparations for the coming operation in Antarctica within the year. On the spot the motors on the deck were roaring, and the entire processing system was running at full speed. Workers put baskets of frozen small miscellaneous fish (in the position of Antarctic krill) into the hopper for processing. The stages of teh process were tightly connected in order. “The focus of this commissioning is to verify the operational stability of the equipment in low temperature and high humidity environments, as well as whether the core indicators such as product particle size and moisture content can meet expectations, so that we can modify and adjust relevant parameters in a timely manner,” said Gong Quanbin, assistant to the chairman of Ningbo Ouya Blue-waters Fishery. Reportedly, the “Yong Li” Ship, with a length of 138.8 meters, a shape width of 24 meters and a load capacity of 15800 tons, is one of the largest and most advanced professional krill fishing and processing ships in China at present, and is hailed as the “marine krill processing plant”. Frozen shrimp, shrimp powder, cooked shrimp, peeled shrimp and other products can be produced an processed on the ship. It is expected that the annual catch will reach 100,000 tons and the annual processing capacity will be about 80,000 tons, after it is put into operation. |
